What if your sunglasses actually protected your privacy

Our Story

We're a family built privacy company that started with a simple question and built the answer. Is there a way to limit facial recognition in everyday life? Every pair of Vaydr eyewear features our GLX technology, designed to disrupt facial recognition across both infrared and visible light.

We wanted a clean design you'd wear anywhere while also getting privacy protection your current sunglasses can't offer. No apps. No subscriptions. Just put them on and go.

FAQs

How does Vaydr's GLX technology disrupt facial recognition?

Vaydr's GLX technology is designed to disrupt facial recognition across both infrared and visible light. Most competitors only address IR, but standard cameras and visible-light AI can still identify you. GLX disrupts the critical facial zone that recognition systems depend on: eyes, brow, and cheekbones. It's a categorically different approach than an IR coating on a clear lens.

How is Vaydr different from other IR-blocking glasses?

Most anti-facial recognition glasses only block infrared light. That defeats IR-based scanning like FaceID, but standard cameras and visible-light AI can still photograph and identify you. Vaydr's GLX technology is designed to reduce facial identifiability across both IR and visible light, and not just half the problem.

Can I wear Vaydr glasses indoors and outdoors during the day and night?

Yes! Vaydr glasses are designed for indoor and outdoor wear, providing protection from screens, artificial lighting, and UV light while maintaining clear, comfortable vision. Some environments may be too dark for our current lens tint. We're working on additional lens options for low-light situations.

Do polarized or mirrored glasses block facial recognition?

Some mirrored or polarized lenses offer slightly more resistance than standard sunglasses due to added film layers, but under NIR light, most mirrored and polarized sunglasses still go transparent. This exposes facial features that recognition systems depend on. Polarization and mirroring weren't designed for privacy. GLX was.

Do you ship internationally?

Not yet. As a small, family built brand, we're focused on the domestic US first. International shipping is on the roadmap once we've built the processes to support it well.

Do these actually work?

Try unlocking your phone with FaceID while wearing a pair. That's the fastest way to see for yourself. You can also watch our IR test demo above where we show regular sunglasses going transparent under infrared light, then show Vaydr. We'd rather show you than tell you.

What's your return and warranty policy?

Every pair comes with a 30-day risk free trial and a limited warranty. If you're not convinced, send them back.

How does GLX technology work?

GLX (green light lens technology) uses a specialized lens formulation that disrupts the facial mapping points that recognition systems depend on. It addresses both infrared light (used by cameras like FaceID) and visible-light AI recognition (used by standard cameras and surveillance systems). No coatings that wear off. The protection is built into the lens itself.
