How do Vaydr sunglasses interfere with facial recognition?
Vaydr glasses use specialized lenses that interfere with infrared-based facial recognition systems, making it harder for cameras and AI to detect facial features. By obstructing the NIR camera's ability to detect your eye shape, location, and patterns, you become a low confidence score to facial recognition making it harder to match you.
What makes green light lenses better than traditional blue light blocking glasses?
Blue light blocking glasses only filter out the blue range of the light spectrum leaving privacy concerns wide open. Vaydr's green light lenses block UV, blue light, and NIR light, giving you a more comprehensive eye wear solution for privacy focused individuals.
Can I wear Vaydr glasses indoors and outdoors during the day and night?
Yes! Vaydr glasses are designed for indoor and outdoor wear, providing protection from screens, artificial lighting, and UV light while maintaining clear and comfortable vision. Some scenarios might be too dark to wear our current models given their hue, so you would need to opt for another method of privacy protection.
Do polarized or mirrored glasses block facial recognition?
Some mirrored or polarized glasses can work better than traditional sunglasses due to added film layers and reflectivity on the lenses, but neither polarized or mirrored glasses will be as effective at protecting your privacy as Vaydr sunglasses. Under NIR light, most mirrored and polarized sunglasses fail exposing key facial features.
Do you ship internationally?
We do not ship internationally currently. As a small brand we are focusing growth in the domestic US first before we acquire enough processes to adequately expand into other regions effectively.
