Our Story
It started with coffee and a conversation.
Vaydr didn’t begin in a lab or a boardroom. It started at a small table over two cups of coffee. One morning, my dad and I were talking about how facial recognition was showing up everywhere. Airports, stores, city streets, and even random places you’d never expect. He looked at me and said something simple:
“I wish there was just a good pair of sunglasses that could block all that out.”
We didn't create this brand out of paranoia and fear. We just had a practical desire for privacy in a world that was changing fast. That moment stuck with us and we shelved the ideas for a few months until one day the reality of the facial recognition world came back again.
Built From a Simple Idea
Vaydr was created to answer the same question my dad asked that morning:
“Why isn’t there a clean, reliable, normal-looking way to block facial recognition?”
Not a mask.
Not a hoodie.
Not a bunch of LEDs strapped to your head.
Just a sleek, wearable pair of sunglasses you’d put on anyway.
Today, Vaydr builds eyewear for the world we actually live in full of cameras, sensors, and automated systems that identify you faster than you can blink.
Our goal is simple:
-
Give people privacy, without complexity.
-
Give them freedom, without being loud.
-
Give them tools that protect their identity, not exploit it.
Every pair we design is a direct extension of that coffee-table conversation. Our products have to be simple enough to use in the worst case scenarios and capable of being used by everyday civilians in everyday situations that they will face.
Vaydr isn’t just about blocking sunlight, it’s about blocking systems that watch without asking and giving people an opportunity where one didn't exist before.
Our lens technology disrupts facial recognition, NIR, UV, and blue light, helping everyday people move through modern life with more control and less exposure.
Still Guided by That First Moment
As Vaydr grows, that original spark hasn’t changed.
A dad wanting a simple layer of privacy.
A son wondering why no one had built it yet.
A shared belief that your face shouldn’t be a barcode for anyone to scan.
Vaydr exists for the people who feel the same way.
For the travelers, creators, builders, thinkers.
For the curious ones.
For the free ones.
For anyone who wants a layer of privacy in a world that asks for none.
This is eyewear for the modern age.
This is freedom you can wear.
Welcome to Vaydr.
Move unseen. Live free. Go Ghost
